9. What's The Deal With The Trinity?

It's confusing, hard, and it literally makes no sense. How can God be one, yet three distinct persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit? Since the doctrine of the Trinity is so difficult to comprehend, many people, maybe even you, don't even give it a thought. Instead we tend to leave it to theologians and scholars with beards and wire rimmed glasses, sitting in wood paneled rooms with lots of dusty books! This is unfortunate, because the doctrine of the Trinity reveals to us who God is, and that really matters. It matters because who God is not only defines our relationship with him, it literally shapes who we are. Theologian and pastor A.W. Tozer put it this way: "What comes to our minds when we think about God is the most important things about us." ~ A.W. Tozer   Simply put, the mystery and wonder of The Trinity of God shapes everything about us. This is why it is worth the effort to study what the Bible says about the Trinity. Think about it this way. What is your Christian life like? What is the condition of your faith? In the end, it will all depend on what you think God is like. Who God is drives everything about us and our relationship with God.
