Everyday we receive messages telling us what we are worth. Commercials, advertising, social media...the list is endless! These messages are trying to tell us what we need to have, be or look like to be considered valuable. Whether we realize it or not, we internalize this information so that the next time we look in the mirror we tell ourselves this message: "I don't measure up, I'm not valuable."
Never before has there been such an identity crisis as the one we face today! The good news is this; there is a way to break the cycle...and to do so, we have to go back to the beginning. Our core verse for this Sunday is Genesis 1:26
Every single human is valuable because they are created in the image of God, to represent him and rule and manage his creation. Our value isn't determined by Fifth Avenue, Hollywood or Washington. Our value is given to us by the Creator of the universe and because his fingerprints are all over us, his heart is completely devoted to loving us. Do you want to learn more?
