To be human means to face rejection. Everyone has to deal
with it at some point in their lives. Whether it's our peer
group, circle of friends, family, co-workers, spouse, or even just
random people in public, rejection is real and it hurts. Dr.
Guy Winch writes this about the pain of rejection:
"MRI studies show that the same areas of the brain become
activated when we experience rejection as when we experience
physical pain." Did you catch that? Rejection has
this way of piggybacking on physical pain pathways in the brain!
Essentially, it may be easier to deal with the pain of a broken arm
as opposed to the pain of a broken relationship!
So is there a way to overcome rejection and move forward with
life? Thankfully the Bible has a lot to say about rejection,
and how to overcome it...especially in the book of Psalms. To

Singing the Sacred. We know it will be helpful!
