Everyone wants to change. You know it's true. Even
as you read these words, you are thinking of those things you wish
you could change. Entrepreneurs know this as well. One
can't even begin to count the plethora of books, programs, and life
coaches devoted to Self-Help, Health & Wellness, and Life
Transformation.
Christians want to change as well. Be honest, one of the
reasons you put your faith in Jesus was because you wanted a new
life, and isn't that the promise?
"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old
has passed away; behold, the new has come" ~ 2 Corinthians
5:17
Amazing promise isn't it? So are you experiencing this new
transformed life or do you feel stuck in a rut of the same ole same
ole?
As much as we wish there was a "fairy god mother to
sprinkle some pixy dust" to change us into a princess or
prince, we know that's not how transformation works. Any
type of change is hard. God's creation reminds us that
transformation is a process and is difficult, yet in the end
it's good! Just look at the journey of a
caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. Not only is it a
long process, but one of the most critical stages of the
transformation is the struggle of exiting the cocoon. It is
the battle to leave their
claustrophobic home that actually cleans, and
strengthens the butterfly to be ready to survive and thrive in this
wild and crazy world!
The transformation of Christian has a similar pathway. In
Romans chapter 12, the apostle Paul lays out a plan for all Jesus
followers to experience radical transformation. It's not an
easy plan, but it is good! To learn more, check out part two
of Beyond Belief.
