There are thousands, probably even millions of people in the
world who think their life is too messed up for them to be loved
and redeemed by God. At an emotional level, they don't feel
like God could love them. Here is how the conversation
usually goes with someone in this category: I have gone
too far. My life is too messed up. I have been too
sinful. God would never want me. God couldn't possibly
love me.
All of us can relate to those types of feelings, we've all had to
wrestle with those feelings of not being worthy of love and
redemption. But what's the problem here? Our feelings
and emotions are not truth. So how can we breakthrough the
powerful grip of not feeling good enough...to find ourselves back
in a love relationship with God?
There are some strategic key words the apostle John uses as he
writes about who Jesus is. One of those words is
"truth". When it feels like our emotions have caused
our lives to run amuck he would suggest that we should look for and
hold on to what is true. According to John, what is true
about God and how he views all people is found in the most famous
and powerful verse in the entire Bible, John 3:16. "God
so loved that word..."
Give a listen to this sermon as we continue with our series on the
Gospel of John and unpack the powerful truth of John 3:16 and

loves you!
