Has anyone ever said, "You have an accent?"
Usually, our first response to such a statement is: "I
do?" The reality is, we are so immersed in our culture,
we have no idea that we possess something that is unique to us or
our community. This is exactly what happens to each of us
when we move to a new state, region or country. If we stay
long enough, we begin to "put down roots" and the culture begins to
rub off on us...changing us.
So, where are you putting your "roots" right now? More then
just a location--think your life. Where are you putting the
roots of your life? Here's why this matters: Where
you put your roots, shapes what you will become.
Give a listen to the listen to the launch of this brand new six
part sermon series through the New Testament letter of
Colossians. In it, we will focus on what a life rooted in
Jesus looks like...and why it truly is the best way to live
life!
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." ~ Colossians 2:6-7
